Alice Ella
Is an Artist and Designer based in England.
Alice Ella, born in 2002, grew up on the small island of Tenedos in the Aegean. Her creative journey took off early, with her first exhibition at just four years old.
''My art is heavily inspired by the solitude of Tenedos, island life and folklore. Memories altered by time, nostalgia, growing up, the early years of technology and the internet, graphics and media from the 90s and 2000s play a big part in my work.

Drenched in colours from a decade long gone, I try to capture what still lingers in my mind from those times. Where cultural and personal references and familiar landscapes blend together, I try my best to build a world others might relate to.''

Artist Statement.
My paintings capture the fading memories and dreams of girlhood within the technological age, while reflecting on the complexities of the passage of time.
Having grown up on a small Aegean island, my art is shaped by both ancient traditions and post-modern influences. In the scenes I create, nature meets urban spaces, incorporating colours and symbols that evoke the media and technology of the '90s and early 2000s. Drawing inspiration from a wide range of influences—from the '80s new wave aesthetics to the Roaring Twenties—my paintings pay homage to various eras and subcultures. By blending and reshaping our association with certain objects or fashion, I celebrate our shared human essence.
The technique of applying both thick and thin layers of oil paint, aims to capture the ethereal quality of memories and the lingering sense of “what could have been.”
